Alidade was contracted by the Winery Association of Nova Scotia
to develop an attraction strategy in a
field of strong, vocal stakeholders including multiple regional
economic development authorities, industry associations,
commercial partners and provincial bodies. The strategy required
fast and efficient research, and the development of supporting
marketing materials. Alidade was subsequently hired to develop
a signature destination website for the client.

Growing The Next Generation of Great Citizens.
Alidade was hired to develop a major long term strategy, and several integrated campaigns and initiatives aimed at
restoring citizen engagement in the province and over the long term affecting citizen participation in the electoral
process, policy and voter participation. The project involved extensive research on citizen engagement, volunteerism,
involvement in public policy, trends, identifying who are the organizations leading the charge, and influences affecting
values, attitudes and behaviours across North America. The bilingual project is the beginning of a long term and strategic
effort of change. The initial audiences were parents, youth, teachers, community partners. We branded the strategy and
initative “Growing Great Citizens”, and delivered an integrated marketing strategy, online and offline media plans and
advertising campaign materials, tagline and slogans for the initiatives, a partner engagement plan, a Community spirit
initiative, In-school program, “Growing Great Citizens” website, outdoor poster series and TV Movie theatre ad series.

Interaction and Freshness Required.
Taste of Nova Scotia identified a need to shift the core concept
of their website from a static “Association website” to a dynamic
“Culinary experiences destination” in order to provide a more
valuable online experience to the general public and to its
members. Aside from refreshing the design, Taste of Nova Scotia
wished to more frequently publish content on its website and
engage in conversation with its visitors. Alidade redesigned and rebuilt their corporate site on a
Wordpress platform to make use of numerous social media
techniques including blogging, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and
RSS Feeds.
